EMMET COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU)-- A man who was paralyzed after he slipped and fell in the snow is alive thanks to the heroic actions of his dog. On New Year's Eve while many were celebrating the start of the new year, Bob was lying in the snow just feet from his home's door, paralyzed.

MICHIGAN (WPBN/WGTU)--- A Michigan bill designed to place animal abusers on a statewide registry list is now a law. Lt. Gov. Brian Calley signed House Bills 4353 and 4355, also known as Logan's Law, into law. The bills are now PA's 392 and 393.

NEWAYGO COUNTY, Mi (WPBN/WGTU)-- A State Trooper and his intern helped deliver a baby girl on the side of the road. Trooper Owen McGuigan was on patrol with a college student interested in law enforcement when they were dispatched to look for a Jeep that was on the side of the road.

The Michigan State Police Alpena Post was investigating a double homicide in Hillman Township.

KALAMAZOO, Mi (WPBN/WGTU)-- The youngest survivor of the deadly Kalamazoo shooting rampage is suffering from a new set of health problems. "She is not doing very well," states a Facebook page dedicated to Abbie Kopf’s recovery. The Facebook page states that 15-year-old Abbie Kopf is experiencing speech issues, memory loss and hypotension, which means her blood pressure is very low.
